after numerous attempts of growing wheatgrass with organic soil i was anything but impressed....one morning ...i was watering some flats and had noticed some mature fly larvae swirling around in the dirt .....granted they had every right to be there just had i ....but i must admit i was turned completely off to this and pitched all 10 flats outside in the back yard ....puzzled and peeved at this discovery there was no possible way i was about to ingest the juice from this or by this method again.... i began researching the study of micro and macro nutrients found in ocean water ....oh did i mention i live 2 blocks from the atlantic ocean???well read on folks the ocean is the fertility of what wheat grass is needed to grow... micro and macro biologically speaking.... it has all that our depleted soil does not have and then some.... it is hygienically sound..... fly larvae free which means you will not be ingesting juice that will potentially have e-coli bacteria and such other risk/health factors...... as i have been doing more research... and have been now growing using ocean water that i collect my self.... with a ratio of 1 cup sea h2o to a gallon of tap h20.....the wheatgrass that is grown in ocean water is phenomenal......magical this grass is awesome the vibrations it gives is different than the soil this is cleaner and healthier please for the health of you stop using soil now and go ocean h2o you will notice the difference and for those of you that dont live near a beach bonide puts out a product its called sea green kelp extract its the same thing you mix it with h2o and for those who purchase their organic soil at lowes or any place like that read the bag where it says may contain one or both chicken or cow manure and where would a gazillion flys land on???? stay away from soil..... organic doesn't always mean its good or safe
